  1. Hi, I have a front door (8 years old) previously treated with a coat of Textrol (Golden oak) each year after a light sand (Netrol wasn’t used in between coats). The door has darkened, some parts weathered moreso and I would like to improve the overall appearance. It is exposed to sun and weather.
Your site is very informative, however I should be grateful if you could advise on the best products to use – I am presuming I should treat with Aquanett, then Netrol and not sure if I should finish with Textrol HES or D1 Pro – will this restore a uniform golden/mid oak colour? I understand the door is part oak veneers and you recommend seeking your advice where oak is involved.
I look forward to hearing from you.

    1. Hi Adrian,

I have sent your enquiry to our technical team and will have a response for you as soon as possible.

      Many thanks,

    2. Hi Adrian,
The process you need to follow is to clean with Net-Trol and then apply maintenance coats of Textrol Golden Oak. The darker patches are likely to be dead wood fibres which the Net-Trol will remove.
If you need any further help then please don’t hesitate to ask.
