Duffield Timber are a 3rd generation family-run timber merchant business based in Yorkshire reflecting the same values and emphasis on quality customer service as we pride ourselves on here at Owatrol. Across their 7 acre site (including 3 acres of warehousing) they hold in excess of £2 million in sawn timber. Their machining facility produces a range of products from cladding and decking to flooring alongside a focus on bespoke mouldings for a variety of end uses from kitchen manufacture to door set components.
The latest in Automated Spray Line
Ever seeking new opportunities, Duffield Timber recently made further investment to their timber finishing facility. On site in Ripon North Yorkshire, the new and improved factory delivers the ‘finishing touch’ to an extensive range of timber mouldings from glazing bead and door components to cladding and decking.
The newest addition to the factory is the automated spray line which in partnership with Owatrol is geared up to produce fully finished cladding and decking for the buoyant UK market. Duffield had great success with a number of cladding projects last year coating Western Red Cedar and European Oak with Owatrol SI 106.
A Perfect Partnership with Owatrol
SI 106 from Owatrol is a water-based and environmentally friendly penetrating wood finish. It has been designed specifically for industrial spray application and is available in 8 different colours. As a penetrative coating, SI 106 is non-film forming and protects the wood from within, minimising cracking, warping and damage from moisture and UV exposure. SI106 provides a long lasting, rich matt finish on softwood and hardwoods, accentuating the natural beauty of the wood. It is extremely durable, making it perfect for decking, cladding and other external timber structures and is easy to maintain too, with no stripping required. This year we hope for continued success with SI 106 and further growth introducing Owatrol Pro Solid Stain to a range of traditional and contemporary cladding profiles. Pro Solid Stain is available in an opaque stain with a 15 year guarantee.
