Using Owatrol Deep Cleaner to clean your deck

Do you have a boat that has been blackened by UV rays? If a previous oil coating such as teak has been applied, these can quickly become dirty and your once beautiful looking wood will look old and grey. Luckily, we have a product that will fix this common problem; Owatrol Deep Cleaner

What is Owatrol Deep Cleaner?

Deep Cleaner is a powerful remover and cleaner. It strips out new, old and encrusted oils from exterior wooden surfaces and also cleans severely weathered wood.

It is ready to use straight from the bottle, fast acting (in as little as 5 minutes) and very easy to use; Deep Cleaner has a gel like consistency, making it easy to apply to horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Deep Cleaner is biodegradable and so does not contain any solvent or paraffin. This is great for marine use as it will not damage the environment.

It also removes millglaze; a shiny surface to new timber through the milling process. The cutters of the planer close the wood pores whilst the natural oils come to the surface of the timber through the machining heat.

With the milglaze removed, you will have much improved penetration and bonding of finish.

Remember

You must always apply Deck Cleaner to your wood after using Deep Cleaner. This is to neutralise the surface and restore the wood’s colour.

Woods rich in tannins e.g. Cedar, Teak, Mahogany etc may darken with the use of Deep Cleaner. If this happens do not allow the wood to dry, prior to using Deck Cleaner.
