We’re super excited to launch DSP 800 Multi-Purpose Stripper as a new product available direct from Owatrol.
It is a powerful and fast-acting stripper which is suitable for removing almost any coating from almost any surface. It can even be used on tricky 2-pack paints and powder coatings!
Its practical gel formula means it can be used on vertical as well as horizontal surfaces and it won’t run or sag. DSP 800 can work in as little as 5 minutes depending on the coating to be removed.
Then it leaves a clean and coating free surface which can be re-coated just 6 hours later!
Important information about DSP 800
DSP 800 is ‘Dichloromethane’ free and contains no acid, caustic soda or potash, so will not darken wood. This means it requires no neutralisation after use, saving you even more time.
As DSP 800 is a powerful stripper there are a few restrictions. You can use it on pretty much any surface with the exception of plastics, GRP or other similar type surfaces.
This is because there is a risk of it dissolving the surface. We would also recommend avoiding prolonged contact with aluminium.
You can use DSP 800 to comfortably remove the following coatings:
- Alkyd
- Acrylic
- PU
- Epoxy
- Cellulose
- RSE (semi-thick coating)
- RPE (thick plastic coating)

What can I use DSP 800 Multi-Purpose Stripper for?
It’s perfect for removing car paint and also for removing unwanted carpet glue. It’s also great for stripping wood surfaces, both interior and exterior and for stripping paint from stone and cement.
With such a short working time (up to 45 minutes) and with a quick turnaround for recoating the surface it’s really a great little product for your arsenal!
