They were washed down with soap and water, then left to dry. The polytrol was then sprayed on and spread around with cloth.
I am still amazed every time I look at them and have recommended the product to many friends.

Frankly I'm astounded! I misguidedly attempted to clean paint off the frames with thinners...
I think the attached photos speak for themselves, thank you for an amazing product!

Polytrol was recommended to me by many other boaters. The paintwork on my 58’ narrowboat was sound but dull and lifeless.

Polytrol is easy to apply with a brush or soft cloth. After about ten minutes, I just buffed it with a clean cloth. Amazed at the results and I’ve had lots of positive comments.

was so happy they wanted to pay me ! what a bonus that payment paid for the 1ltr tin that I had bought, And I still have 3/4 of the product , will be on the lookout for more front doors and who knows it might be a nice little earner.

Absolutely outstanding product. I have a 22 year old Ifor Williams horsebox trailer and have been looking for months for a product that would cover / Treat or restore the faded painted side panels. Some of these panels had transfers applied by previous owners. These I had removed which left a darker silhouette on the panels where they had faded around them, which further made the trailer look shabby.
I bought a sample pot of Owatrol colour restorer to try following reading reviews and watching the product video showing its use, hopefull but still not fully convinced it would work. The results on a test patch were awesome the rich red colour was remarkably restored in minutes. I tried it then on the aluminium roof panels , fantastic , shiny like new. I then cleaned the mould of the grey fibreglass front roof panel and was amazed with the same brilliant result of a rich colour returned almost as new. I promptly purchased a Litre of the stuff and set to work on the whole trailer . I and my family are absolutely amazed by the transformation, I am seldom lost for words, but the ease of use, simply brush applied to a clean and dry surface, then wiped over with a cloth to smooth out an even coating, then left to dry , the results have astounded me.
I took before and after photos which I will gladly forward as proof.
Recommend it to anyone . Worth every penny . Does exactly what it says on the tin!!!.

Just chanced upon your advert while browsing the net looking for a product that would improve the look of my door, and I am so very glad that I did - couldn’t have wished for a better result!

Thought you may like to see the difference in my caravan balcony after using Polytrol after recommendation from a friend on the same site.
I had been looking for a resolution to fading for some years without success. As you can see from the attached before and after photo’s the transformation has been remarkable.

Polytrol is a deep penetrating oil which restores the original colour and appearance of dull or tarnished plastics, gelcoats, metals, and other surfaces.

It penetrates the surface, re-wetting the pigments to restore their lustre and colour which has been lost through exposure to sunlight, rain, and pollution and it also gives corrosion protection.  When used on tarnished metals, it brings back the shine and gives long-term protection against corrosion.

Simple to apply using a cloth or soft brush, it’s ready to wipe off in just 10 minutes! It can be used on both horizontal and vertical surfaces and can even be used on fibreglass (GRP). Polytrol dries to a tough and long-lasting flexible finish which does not leave a film – so it won’t peel or flake.

Polytrol is now available in a handy 250ml spray can, great for quick application and difficult to reach areas. Please see the directions for use to find out how to apply it.

Ideal Uses for Polytrol Colour Restorer

General directions

Always work in areas that can be completed 10-20 minutes to ensure an even appearance. If the surface absorbs the Polytrol unevenly (i.e. some matt and some shiny patches) move any surplus oil from shiny areas to matt areas. Wipe off any excess Polytrol with a lint-free cloth before it becomes tacky. For a shinier finish, buff the surface with a lint-free polishing cloth.

When using the Polytrol 250ml spray can, simply spray on liberally, wipe off any excess and leave to dry.

Last week I purchased a 500 ml tin of your Polytrol to restore our 18-year-old composite (plastic coated) front door. With carriage it cost me £22, the best investment I have made for many a year – door now looks like new! Thank you.

Easy to apply after thoroughly cleaning the door, Polytrol applied over sections of door with a soft/clean rag and excess wiped away asap, final polish after a couple of hours (warmish day). My only struggle – getting the tin open!

I’m now looking for something else to refurbish with the rest of the Polytrol!

I am absolutely amazed at this product. I thought I would need a new composite door at a cost of £1,500++ as it was so faded and scratched. I bought this Owatrol colour restorer after seeing it on YouTube.
Applied it with a cloth after thoroughly rubbing it down with a washing up scourer. Took about 20 minutes to apply. My door looks as good as new. Fantastic product.
    Photos show before and after.

Brilliant stuff! Didn’t quite believe all the amazing reviews but did a fantastic job bringing our 17 year old badly faded wood effect GRP garage door back to life! Only used about half a 500ml tin, just washed the door, let dry and then wiped it in with a cloth. That was it and wow, what a difference in the before and after pictures!

Just used Owatrol Polytrol on my wood grain garage door and it’s absolutely fantastic.
My door was sun beaten and very sorry for itself. I read all the reviews and thought it can’t be that good but I had nothing to lose so I gave it ago, and I must say the reviews are spot on. It’s easy and quick to apply and gives an outstanding result.

I purchased polytrol last week to use on my composite front door which had lost its surface and faded over the years. The product was very easy to use and has restored the door to its former colour. I must admit I was a little apprehensive in using this product at first as there was very little information available about using it on front doors but am now glad I did as I have the appearance of a new front door for such a small price. I would thoroughly recommend polytrol colour restorer to anyone wanting to revive their faded UPVC/Composite doors/windows etc. Well worth doing and as easy as it says on the tin. Just use a cloth to apply, wipe off the excess and let it dry! The finish was better than I expected.
