Polytrol is a deep penetrating oil which restores the original colour and appearance of dull or tarnished plastics, gelcoats, metals, and other surfaces.
It penetrates the surface, re-wetting the pigments to restore their lustre and colour which has been lost through exposure to sunlight, rain, and pollution and it also gives corrosion protection. When used on tarnished metals, it brings back the shine and gives long-term protection against corrosion.
Simple to apply using a cloth or soft brush, it’s ready to wipe off in just 10 minutes! It can be used on both horizontal and vertical surfaces and can even be used on fibreglass (GRP). Polytrol dries to a tough and long-lasting flexible finish which does not leave a film – so it won’t peel or flake.
Polytrol is now available in a handy 250ml spray can, great for quick application and difficult to reach areas. Please see the directions for use to find out how to apply it.

Application of Polytrol Colour Restorer
General directions
Always work in areas that can be completed 10-20 minutes to ensure an even appearance. If the surface absorbs the Polytrol unevenly (i.e. some matt and some shiny patches) move any surplus oil from shiny areas to matt areas. Wipe off any excess Polytrol with a lint-free cloth before it becomes tacky. For a shinier finish, buff the surface with a lint-free polishing cloth.
When using the Polytrol 250ml spray can, simply spray on liberally, wipe off any excess and leave to dry.

Thought you may like to see the difference in my caravan balcony after using Polytrol after recommendation from a friend on the same site.
I had been looking for a resolution to fading for some years without success. As you can see from the attached before and after photo’s the transformation has been remarkable.

Fantastic product I only bought the sample pot as I was a bit skeptical as to whether it would work. We have had a Keter garden storage box for 3 years which the lid has faded due to the sunlight the problem was that we bought a new one to go next to our original one and as I have a bit of ocd the fact that the lids were different colours I wanted to replace the older one so they would match but my husband wasn’t willing to spend another £110.00 for no reason so I googled plastic colour restorer and found your product and now I have two matching boxes for just £5.00. I will definitely recommend to all our family and friends who are in need of restoring rather than buying new items.

Forgot to take a before photo but which storage box is 3yrs old and which one is a week old?
I only bought the sample pot as I was rather sceptical as to whether it would work boy was I wrong.
5☆ product I would highly recommend Polytrol colour restorer.

Fantastic product! Followed instructions to the letter and 12 year old red composite door looks fabulous once again. Haven’t buffed it up yet as I want to leave it overnight but extremely pleased with polytrol colour restorer. 👍🏻

5 star product by 5 star company!
I ordered a sample pot and DHL delivered it elsewhere – but Owatrol were quick to replace, thank you.
I’ve used it today and my grey composite front door is as good as new and I’ve hardly used any from the pot. Easy to apply – I used a lint cloth and just wiped it on the clean door. Waited 20 minutes and buffed off. Easy and effective. Looks like a new front door.

My uPVC front door had faded badly and being a mahogany finish it looked terrible. I bought this thinking it certainly couldn’t look any worse. Applied it with a soft clean cloth and it dried brilliantly. Looks like new again. So good that I’m going to have to change the letterbox now!

Had a badly faded fibreglass garage door. This product exceeded all expectation with the result. Door looks almost better than new, and could not be easier to apply. An absolute Five Star product.

The Polytrol was originally for reviving composite doors which did a great job. That was such a success I decided to have a go at these old tired green garden chairs. You can see the result.
They were washed down with soap and water, then left to dry. The polytrol was then sprayed on and spread around with cloth.
I am still amazed every time I look at them and have recommended the product to many friends.

I was very sceptical about all the positive reviews of Polytrol when I found the product on the internet. I was contemplating having to replace my composite rosewood effect front door because it looked so chalky and faded. I had tried all sorts of products to try to restore the original finish but none worked. As a final try, I decided to buy some Polytrol.
The product is easy to apply by brush but don’t let it dry for too long before wiping the surplus off with a lint-free cloth. I must say that the positive reviews were justified and my door looks almost like new and I’ve got plenty of Polytrol left for when it needs re-coating.

Recently noticed that my Brown Composite Front door was becoming very “Faded” in the recent sun. Asked the original supplier for any tips to restore the colour and got no help at all.
Having trawled the net I found Owatrol / Polytrol and gave it a try! Almost like magic the colour was restored in no time at all so I can highly praise your product for a quality result with minimal effort and no “Glitches”.
Many thanks.
