Brand New Owatrol Marine Range

This winter we’re excited to be launching our new and expanded Owatrol Marine range. We’re got a range of excellent new products to help you to keep your boat in tip-top condition.

Many boat owners at this time of year are thinking about getting their boat into dry docks for maintenance. Our new range may just have exactly what you need. Below is a brief introduction to each of the products including some product demonstration videos.

Marine Oil

This colourless, marine penetrating rust inhibitor can be used alone or added to paint. Used alone it provides a tough, flexible finish, driving out excess moisture and air; displacing it from rusted metal, so stopping rust. Whilst added to any oil or alkyd based coatings Marine Oil will give increased wet edge time, improved flowability and greater adhesion. Unlike damaging thinners, Marine Oil will maintain the inherent quality of the paint without affecting its appearance or drying times.

Owatrol GLV

Our flexible anti-corrosive high gloss marine aluminium paint finish gives an intense high gloss aluminium look. It is suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as other surfaces too. It contains the deep penetrating and adhesion properties of Marine Oil so the finish will not peel or flake. Owatrol GLV will even adhere well to clean, bright steel. With excellent resistance to chemical attack, Owatrol GLV is ideal in aggressive climatic conditions where a high resistant finish is necessary. It also withstands heat up to 175ºC.

Marine CIP (Corrosion Inhibiting Primer)

CIP (Corrosive Inhibiting Primer) is a rust-inhibiting primer which is suitable for use with both single and 2-pack paints and finishes. It contains the anti-corrosive properties of Owatrol Oil. This enables it to stabilise the surface by penetrating deep into the substrate, driving out excess moisture and air.

Deck Cleaner

Deck Cleaner is a powerful cleaner and brightener that removes ground in and surface dirt. It’s able to restore a bright, vibrant look to fibreglass and return unfinished, weather-beaten marine wood to its natural colour. Unlike bleach or chlorine-based cleaners, Deck Cleaner will not damage the wood’s fibres.

Gelcoat Restorer – Marine Polytrol

Gelcoat Restorer is an oil that penetrates deep into gelcoat to re-wet the pigment. This restores the dull, faded look of the gelcoat to its original colour and lustre. It then dries to a tough, long-lasting and flexible finish. Gelcoat Restorer eliminates the need for expensive waxes and polishes that sit on the surface and dry out quickly.

Marine Strip

Marine Strip is a powerful water-soluble paint and anti-fouling stripper designed for marine uses. It can remove up to 8 coats in just one application! It’s perfect for use on gelcoats as its gel consistency means no drips, even on vertical surfaces. It’s safe to use on virtually any surface including; wood, plastic, metal and GRP and it makes stripping even intricate detailing easy!

Prepdeck stripper and cleaner

Prepdeck stripper and cleaner is a professional, high-grade product specially designed for the removing of old solid and semi-transparent stains, grade stamps and other finishes from wood. Diluted it makes a powerful cleaner for removing dirt and other surface contaminants. It is also perfect for use in the marine environment.

Transyl Oil

Transyl Oil is a lubricating, deep penetrating, self-spreading liquid. Transyl’s exceptional wetting, spreading and climbing abilities, enable it to reach inaccessible parts making it superb for the dismantling and maintenance of metal assemblies and for lubricating tough to reach metal areas. Deks Olje D1 Hardwood Oil

Owatrol Deks Olje D1 hardwood oil is designed to protect the deck of your vessel from damage caused by the sun, the weather and the sea! It replaces the lost natural oils and provides longevity to your timber, saturating the wood’s pores and protecting it from within. Also ideal for all hardwood timbers for protection.

Deks Olje D2

Deks Olje D2 is a varnish-like, tough, flexible and durable finish that enhances the natural beauty of both interior and extrerior wood. It forms a highly flexible film which moves with the wood to prevent peeling and flaking. No sanding is required between coats and maintenance and repair can also be carried out without stripping! On boats, D2 can be used for all applications above the waterline. However, please note that due to the high gloss finish it’s not suitable for surfaces which will be walked on. This is because it would be very slippery.

Owatrol Deco

Owatrol Deco is an oil-based multi-surface paint suitable for all surfaces with built-in rust inhibiting qualities. It comes in 13 decorative finishes and does not require any priming or undercoating before use. With Owatrol Oil technology, Owatrol Deco provides exceptional corrosion protection and excellent resistance to the effects of weathering and pollution.

Owayell

Owayell is a gelcoat and metal renovator which removes yellow staining, limescale and rust spots from gelcoat, stainless steel and other surfaces in a matter of minutes. It will brighten and whiten gelcoats as well as dissolve limescale, sea salt and watermarks.

Blackbat 2 in 1

Blackbat 2 in 1 is a fast-acting cleaner and stain remover for getting rid of marks on gelcoat, painted and metal surfaces caused by exhaust fumes, rubbing and read marks and grease stains. This double action product cleans and degreases in one and can quickly remove stains in as little as 5 minutes.

Owaclean

Owaclean is a concentrated, solvent and acid-free cleaner for the regular maintenance of hulls, decks and other marine surfaces. This water-based all-purpose cleaner removes dirt, grease and other surface contaminants. It is non-aggressive and so will not damage the surface.
